The 20-storey building offers nearly 300 rooms on as many as 17 levels. The Orchid Hotel is yet another Singapore-based investment project completed using Rawlplug’s products. This time, they included pins for concrete and steel, and the gas powered nailer. Below you can read about this facility as well as about our fixing solutions and power tools used during the construction of this unique edifice.

The Orchid is a 4-star business-class hotel situated in the Central Business District (CBD) in the quarter of Tanjong Pagar. The investment’s attractive location combined with close proximity of various forms of entertainment, historic sites, and shopping centres make the venue a perfect spot for all those who travel for business. At the hotel itself visitors can make use of its open-air swimming pool, sauna, gym, and restaurant.

While the Orchid Hotel was being erected, three solutions from Rawlplug were used: the R-SC40II gas powered steel and concrete nailer along with the matching R-KNC plastic collated pins for concrete and the R-KSC plastic collated pins for steel.

The R-SC40II nailer from Rawlplug is suitable for a broad range of applications as it can work with pins from 15 to 38 mm in length. Its compact and handy housing improves the use comfort, while the tool-free embedment depth adjustment feature ensures higher fixing precision. The nailer is really easy and safe to use thanks to the convenient magazine replacement mechanism and sequential operating mode.
