The preparations for this year’s football World Cup are gaining momentum. Our eyes are particularly fixed on Al Bayt Stadium, still under construction. Why, you may ask. This impressive venue, intended to host the tournament games, is being erected using Rawlplug’s products.   

The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar will be the first ever world football championships held in autumn. The opening matches are scheduled for 21 November. Eight venues will host the tournament, situated in the cities of Lusail, Ar-Rayyan, Doha, Al Wakrah, and Al Khor. We consider the latter particularly important for the very simple reason that the speed control bumps at Al Bayt Stadium are installed using the R-KER II bonded anchors.

Al Bayt Stadium’s capacity is 60 thousand, including space enough for 1,000 journalists. Another important part of the venue is the road infrastructure. Its parking area can hold up to 6,000 cars and 350 buses, as well as 1,000 taxis. There is even access for public transport buses and water taxis.
